User Experience (UX)

User Experience (UX) is a person's response to intended or actual use of anything from a physical product to a service according to ISO FDIS 9241-210. There is a debate as to whether or not UX and usability are actually different, but according to Bevan (2009), at least one difference is that User Experience focuses on more Hedonic (pleasure-focused) goals as opposed to traditional usability, which focused more on task completion goals.

As laid out in Bevan (2009), there are many different ways to examine user experience, with a lot of them based off of usability methodology as shown in the Usability section.

Beyond that, a good website to know is All About UX, which is a website that lists many different methodologies for evaluating the user experience of products here.
